INTRO
Paper craft is probably one of the first extra-curricular activities a child is introduced to. So it was in my case too.

But I never liked it as a kid. Too fiddly. Too many sharp objects.

Also, I'm not particularly creative with paper.

Several decades later, here I am, trying my hand at this very same craft activity (a.k.a. cractivity) whose creative nuances have evaded me all my life.

I will admit that I can make a mean journal/folio. If what I make has some practical utility, then I find that I have more room to play with my ideas. Journal-making was in fact the first paper-related crafty thing I ever did voluntarily, and I realised that it's fun. This section of the site will definitely include posts and tutorials about making journals and similar items.

I've made only a handful so far, but I'm quite happy with all of them. Especially when I look back at the very first one I'd made, and notice the improvements over successive journals. The best thing about them, however, is just how much fun they are to put together.

That's why I figured I'd try my hand at other paper craft projects as well in my free time. Rather than make excuses to avoid it, I'll just explore this area like I do anything else, with the sole intention of enjoying the act. It doesn't matter if something we try out looks ugly, or falls apart easy, or doesn't stand up to scrutiny next to all the images we see of such items on the web.

The only thing that matters, really, is that we have a good time. That in itself is the beauty of any creative endeavour.
